My home is my site

Beside being my Social Hub this site is a lot more and means a lot more to me. Its a kind of castle, where I am the king, can choose the paint and whom I let in.

So thanks to my little PHP, XHTML, XML and JavaScript skills I was able to add many additional features. If you’re interested, read on.

OpenID Server

This was an easy one since Movable Type could act with a plugin as an OpenID Server out of the box. This is especially nice, since the URL to my site is my OpenID URL too.

Tweet Comments

Tough I like Movable Type a lot and will always defend it against other blogging systems, its comment system is a pain in the ass. It needs a big chunk of customization to work the way you like, adds tons of proprietary JavaScript code, and a crucial part — where commenters can register or log-in through external services — is not customizable at all. Well at last if you are not willing to pay for a special plugin from Mark Carey.

Since Tweet Comments are very new and need some additional testing, please allow some more weeks before I continue here. Stay tuned.
